NUFSAA is the blog for Filipino scholars and alumni of Nagoya University (NU), Japan. The alumni are those who earned degrees in the Bachelors, Master's and Doctor's programs at NU. The scholars include visiting students who undertook non-degree programs, special seminars/training including the intensive six-month Japanese language course.

NUAL-Philippine Branch elects officers for 2019 & 2020 during the "Kokoro no Hi" General Assembly


The NUAL-PH Officers, Advisers & Japanese Representative (2019 & 2020)


Twenty nine members which includes six Japanese alumni of the Nagoya University Alumni Association – Philippine Branch elected the new set of officers for 2019 and 2020 during the “Kokoro no Hi” – General Assembly held on 17 February 2019 at the Legend Villas, Mandaluyong City.  Dr. Cynthia Palmes-Saloma, the incumbent vice-president took over as the incoming president for the years 2019 and 2020. The incoming officers of the NUAL-PH are:

  • Vice-President: Andres Winston Oreta
  • Secretary:           Ron Vilog
  • Treasurer:          Daisy Montesa
  • Asst. Secretary: Rodolfo Mendoza, Jr.
  • Asst. Treasurer: Neil Tan-Gana
  • PRO:                    Marcos Valdez
  • Auditor:              Rodmyr Datoon·
The advisers are Resty Collado and Pag-asa Gaspillo. Two Japanese alumni, Daisuke Ishii (Main representative) and Masafumi Takahashi (alternate representative) were also appointed as Japanese alumni representatives to the NUAL-PH. The outgoing president inducted the incoming officers.

The “Kokoro no Hi” started with a buffet lunch at the Lola Maria Restaurant at Legend Villas from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The general assembly, election and fellowship was held at the Luna Room from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM. The general assembly includes Introduction of the alumni, Messages form the “sempai”,  Jing Masangkay and Resty Collado, President’s 2018 Report by Pag-asa Gaspillo, Treasurer’s 2018 Report by Daisy Montesa, Nomination and Election of the seven incoming officers, Induction of the new officers and Raffle.
